Dear Crew/Vendors/Extras: 4/28/07**** Dear Colorado Extras: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ City of Final Destination-Payment update*** 3/27/07 First off, no one has been paid yet and Merchant Ivory the production company is responsible for all payment. There are people working hard to try to get us paid. Merchant Ivory-James Ivory director was scheduled to shoot in Boulder during the week of 2/10-2/11. As you know the shoot was canceled on 2/11/07, the remainder of shooting was canceled due to the production company's inability to make good on payments, payroll and production expenses to shoot. At this time, numerous attempts are being made to get payment for the crew, vendors, casting department and extra's who worked the project here in Boulder. We do not know about the outcome, and remedies are being researched to resolve the problem by the local production staff who were on the job, including the possibility of creating a "class" for a class action lawsuit against the production company. To date, the problem hasn't been resolved nor have any efforts been made by Merchant Ivory to pay their debt. We are told that the New York office is dodging their responsibility to pay by intentionally referring all calls for payment to the local UPM (Unit Production Manager) hired to manage their job here in Colorado. Please note again that the it is the production company "Merchant Ivory" who is the one responsible for payment, not the UPM or anyone else they may claim owes the money. The UPM could disburse funds if in fact Merchant Ivory did make funds available to pay us. The UPM is currently trying to resolve the issue and to get Merchant Ivory to pay their bills here in Colorado. Calls to Greg Babcock (UPM) only clutter the process. We are all in the same boat here. Any information we have will be posted here. Please note, Farrell Talent Management is not the production company nor the employer for this project, only hosting and providing extra's casting services on a freelance basis for the movie company.
